Our Projects

Our work at Youth Initiatives Scotland is based around a continuing partnership with the education authority in Glasgow that has allowed us to build youth work activities and outreach work around the local communities of the schools where we are based. We run after school and evening youth work programmes, summer schemes and other school holidays initiatives where we often partner with other local community organisations. Our outreach focuses on connecting with the young people who are often the most disengaged and vulnerable youth in our community.

Love Where I Live

Love Where I Live is our Youth Led service-based summer programme partnering with local community organisations and churches.

Southside Youth Community Hub

In partnership with the education authority, Youth Initiatives have set up a community hub in and around Pollock Glasgow.

NPA in Youth Work

Youth Initiatives currently partners with 3 schools in Glasgow City council delivering the National Progressional Award in Theory and Approaches to Youth Work.

Summer Initiatives

Over the summer holidays Youth Initiatives runs outreach programmes which include summer schemes and residentials.

School Retreats

Youth Initiatives Scotland run day retreats for various high schools and year groups across Glasgow.

Volunteers

Volunteering for YI gives young people aged 15-18 the opportunity to develop skills of leadership in various different projects that we run.
